Why Soft Language Leads to a Hard Crash

To the engineers, the builders, and the realists: we live in an era of decadence. Big Tech and the establishment have become more concerned with the tone of the conversation than with the integrity of the system. While we adjust our definitions to avoid offense, we lose the competence required to protect our world. Laws of physics do not negotiate.
The Four Pillars of Decline
- Honor the Hierarchy: A system without leadership crashes. A computer has a Kernel; a network has a Master; a printed circuit board has a Mother. Erasing these terms out of fear for “painful history” denies technical reality. A ‘Mainboard’ is a bureaucratic term, but a ‘Motherboard’ is the source of life for the machine. Whoever de-souls the language, de-souls the technology.
- Stop the ‘Discount-ification’ of Technology: Our digital world has degraded into a bargain bin of nonsense apps. Big Tech no longer builds cathedrals of code, but “safe spaces” full of ads. We cannot accept powerful technology in the hands of a generation taught that emotions are more important than facts. We do not put an F1 bolide on a bicycle path.
- We Have Become the Helpdesk: While the factories in the East run on the discipline of production, Europe and the US have become the “Customer Service of the World.” We hold the ethical discussions and do the marketing, but we make nothing anymore. Moral superiority provides no protection against physical scarcity; if the factory stops, the helpdesk is unemployed.
- Emotion is Fuel, Not the Steering Wheel: In an F1 car, emotion is the will to win, but reason drives the car. Society has put emotion behind the wheel, dismantling industry and energy supplies based on feelings and pamphlets. This is a recipe for a crash. Reality—the Killer Whale—is coming, and it does not care about hashtags.
The Call
It is time to trade “safety” for competence and test “inclusivity” against functionality. We must stop listening to the marketing department and start listening to the engineer again. Restore the definitions. Respect the technology. Or prepare for total irrelevance.
